I can only describe this shop as a collection of amazing
shapes; I could never say that furniture was boring after seeing some of the
displays in Euro Design. They have been established in Pattaya for 7 years
and specialize in a mixture of cultural designs, although everything is made
in Thailand. Khun Tukta, the assistant manager told me that most of the
designs are provided by the customer.
My
favorite piece - and one of the most expensive as well. Typical!
If you have an idea for some ‘way out’ furniture,
take it to Euro Design and they can make the idea come alive for you. As
usual, my inert good taste prevailed and I fell in love with a tall side
table that has a spiral base made out of individual pieces of glass,
probably one of the most expensive items in the shop - typical!
If, in reality, the dream house that you purchased to
renovate suddenly seems an impossible task, don’t worry; Euro Design can
do everything for you from floor to ceiling. Kitchens and bathrooms with all
brands of appliances are available, as are bedrooms and living rooms that
can have wall-to-wall carpeting in pure wool from New Zealand or, if you
prefer, acrylic. The carpets and rugs are made in a factory in Bangkok. With
the computer designs (CAD) they provide, you can see what the end result of
your ideas will look like, so it’s easy to change your mind about colour
or style without having a ‘domestic.’
Comfort
and style at Euro Design
The furniture is made here in Pattaya and can be tailor
made to fit into all those nooks and crannies. If you have a good photograph
of any piece of furniture, providing the materials are available it can be
copied.
There are also some very nice paintings on show from
artists at the Burapha University in Bang Saen and the National Gallery. If
you don’t find a painting that suits you, keep looking; they are rotated
regularly. Or alternatively you could commission one for yourself.
