Police called in to break up disco brawl
The Action Discotheque in North Pattaya was the scene of
an old fashioned bar brawl on the night of October 4th. Approximately 30
people were involved in the melee when police were called in to regain
order.
Most of the amateur pugilists were able to escape, but the police succeeded
in apprehending two of the battling teenagers, Surachai Chua-wongse and
Vichien Khadphong, both 17.
Upon questioning, they confessed that they had come to party with a group of
friends at the discotheque. While dancing, they took a disliking to a 22
year old named Sayan, who was flirting with one of the maidens they had met
at the place. They were busy rearranging his face with their feet when
police showed up.
The police took Sayan to the hospital for treatment, and took the two
perpetrators into custody. They are being charged with assault and battery.
