Hit and run accident claims two lives

Two waitresses from the Yord Rak Cafe died instantly after being run over by a ten wheel truck on Rayong Highway on Thursday, October 17.
The young women, Jiranan Atthawong and Suphansa Oornseethao, both approxi-mately 18 years of age, were driving home from work on a green Nova Tena motorcycle when a ten wheel cement truck, hurtling down the road at a high speed, ran over them with seemingly no intention of breaking. Both women were killed instantly. Both victims were natives of Nong-Khai province.
Police speculated that the driver of the truck, who fled the scene, was under the influence of amphetamines. Police reported that onlookers failed to get the license number of the truck. Investigations are now in progress.
