The Father Ray Foundation is offering up to 50,000 baht for the original
song that best exemplifies the feeling of “Father Ray in Your Heart.”
President Father Peter Pattarapong Srivorakul launched the foundation’s
song-writing contest May 28 with Sakniran Jitsom of Siam Kolkarn Music School,
Channel 3 presenter Preeraya Daengprasit, and artist Aarda Kraipheerphan from
KPN stage.
The winning composer will win 50,000 baht while five other finalists will take
home 10,000 baht each. The winning song will be used in foundation marketing
efforts and at public events.
Srivorakul said the contest is being held to mark the 10-year anniversary of the
death of “Father Ray” Brennan, founder of the group of schools and orphanages.

Contest runs from now until August 1. Judging takes place
August 6, with winners announced August 7, and awards presented on August 17 as
part of the “10 years Ray” ceremonies.
