The Thailand arm of a Japanese conglomerate has donated 1 million baht
in outdoor exercise equipment to Pattaya’s Chalerm Prakiat Park.
Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome and other top officials accepted the weight- and
strength-training machines from Mitsubishi Electric Kanyong Wattana Co.
Managing Director Anant Banjerdthum May 3 at the Pratamnak Hill park.
Anant said the donation was made possible by proceeds from the company’s
Mitsubishi Electric Run for Health held in Pattaya in November 2011. The
company supplemented the fundraiser’s bounty with company funds.
The donation included machines to strengthen arm, leg, chest and back
muscles. The equipment augments a park already popular with residents and
tourists for running, biking and walking.
