Chonburi Gov. Khomsan Ekachai
leads the province’s monthly meeting with various heads of departments.
Chonburi drug, behavioral and physical rehabilitation
projects serviced almost 6,000 people in the past six months.
At a monthly meeting with local officials, Gov. Khomsan Ekachai heard that
voluntary drug-rehabilitation programs accepted 2,877 individuals in the
past half year. Behavioral rehabilitation programs, running nine days each,
saw 2,340 registrants. A 15-day program was taken by 60 individuals. Health
rehabilitation programs run by sub-districts served 477 people.
Officials also announced restoration plans for a fabric-weaving factory
founded by Somdech Phra Phan Vasa Ayyika Chao, which was started under royal
patronage to weave silk and cotton.
In routine business, the Highway Department announced construction plans for
2013-16; the Public Health Department updated officials on dengue fever
prevention and the Land Development Department discussed reservoir
construction.
Promotions and transfers were also announced, including Uthai Sangkhakjorn
of Buriram being named Chonburi’s prosecutor. (CPRD)
