Sattahip Triathlon 2026 roars to a grand finish

The Royal Thai Navy and Tourism Authority of Thailand closed the Sattahip Triathlon 2026 in Chonburi, showcasing a high-energy sports tourism event that drew thousands of athletes and boosted the regional economy.

CHONBURI, Thailand – Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Thai Navy Admiral Pairote Fuangchan, acting as the royal representative of Her Majesty the Queen, presided over the award ceremony and final events of the Amazing Race Festival Sattahip Triathlon 2026. The ceremony was held on June 14, at the Royal Thai Fleet, Sattahip Naval Base, Chonburi Province. Minister of Tourism and Sports Surasak Phancharoenworakul delivered the official tournament report and presented royal trophies to the category winners. Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand Thapanee Kiatphaibool, TAT executives, organizers, and athletes also attended the closing session. The Navy Chief then sounded the air horn to officially start the 5-kilometer long-distance swimming competition.



​The festival was co-organized by the Tourism Authority of Thailand, the Royal Thai Navy, Chonburi Province, and Tri-League (Thailand) Company Limited from June 12 to 14. The event at Sattahip Naval Base featured standard and sprint triathlons, duathlons, road running, and open-water swimming races. This initiative is a major sports tourism effort aimed at stimulating regional travel, providing premium experiences for athletes, and increasing domestic revenue. The tournament supports Chonburi Province’s strategy to become an international sports hub, attracting at least 8,500 participants and generating over 120 million baht in economic activity. (NNT)
