Royal assistance offered to massacre victims in Nong Bualamphu, northeast Thailand

Their Majesties the King and Queen on Thursday had the Privy Council president and privy councilors visit people injured in the massacre in Nong Bualamphu province and also give royal support for their treatment and the funerals of dead victims.

Their Majesties the King and Queen expressed their deep concern and sorrow in relation to the murder rampage at the child development center of the Uthai Sawan sub-district administrative organization in Na Klang district of Nong Bualamphu on Oct 6. Many children and adults were killed and injured. Their Majesties the King and Queen had Privy Council President Gen Surayud Chulanont and privy councilors visit the injured victims and give them moral support.



At Udon Thani Hospital, the delegation met relatives of victims including the family of a three-year-old boy who underwent a brain surgery. The president of the Privy Council forwarded the messages and moral support of Their Majesties the King and Queen to the affected people at Nong Bualamphu Hospital. At Na Klang Hospital the delegation visited a 12-year-old girl who had a wound in her right leg and suffered dizziness after being hit by the murderer’s vehicle. Doctors were closely monitoring her brain conditions. (TNA)
