BANGKOK, Thailand – Roi Et Governor Chatchawan Benjasiriwong led his health team to win first place at the National NUAD THAI & Wellness Expo 2026 on Thursday. The governor performed Ruesi Dat Ton routines with traditional medicine officers. Instructors from the Roi Et College of Dramatic Arts in Bangkok trained and choreographed the championship performance.
Representatives from the Health Economy Center, consumer protection groups, and traditional medicine workgroups joined medical staff from Roi Et, Kaset Wisai, and Chaturaphak Phiman hospitals. The delegation accepted the championship award at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC).
The competition, titled Stretching Postures for Health, promoted Ruesi Dat Ton as a traditional Thai practice for wellness, health promotion, and disease prevention. Provincial health leaders recognized the championship as a significant step in preserving traditional Thai medicine and encouraging physical activity. Health officials plan to expand community posture training programs across provincial health districts to support long-term public wellness. (NNT)
