BANGKOK, Thailand – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) has joined the official opening of Happitat, a new retail and lifestyle destination, to enhance tourism in eastern Bangkok and advance Thailand’s value-based tourism strategy. The event at Bang Na KM. 7 was presided over by President of the Privy Council General Surayud Chulanont. TAT Governor Thapanee Kiatphaibool attended the ceremony to congratulate Charoen Pokphand Group on the project’s completion. She was welcomed by CP Group Senior Chairman Dhanin Chearavanont, Chairman Soopakij Chearavanont, CP Axtra Public Company Limited Director Narong Chearavanont, and other CP Group executives.

Happitat was developed under the concept “The New Theme Destination of Happiness” to welcome visitors of all ages. It features three main buildings: Bloominas, a premium lifestyle hub; Wonderwild, offering family-oriented activities; and Festie Town, a semi-outdoor venue for entertainment, events, and concerts. This development broadens Bangkok’s shopping and lifestyle tourism options and aligns with TAT’s “Amazing Thailand: Healing is the New Luxury” campaign, which promotes meaningful experiences and visitor well-being. The opening reflects the confidence of the private sector in eastern Bangkok’s growth potential. The project is expected to attract investment in retail and services, stimulate economic activity, and support Thailand’s development as a sustainable, value-based tourism destination. (NNT)
