
BANGKOK, Thailand – Members of the public continued to pay their respects to Her Majesty Queen Sirikit the Queen Mother. Authorities reported that a total of 431,862 people attended the Royal Funeral rites at the Grand Place in Bangkok between October 27, 2025, and January 4, 2026.
The Bangkok Metropolitan Administration has worked with relevant agencies to ensure arrangements are orderly, dignified, inclusive, and safe in accordance with royal protocol. Services include waiting areas, golf carts, and wheelchairs for elderly persons and people with disabilities, drinking water, restrooms, and on-site public relations officers. Clothing loan services are available for visitors whose attire does not meet dress requirements. Safety measures address traffic management, emergency medical services, and cleanliness in the surrounding areas.
The Bureau of the Royal Household has scheduled four daily time slots for members of the public to pay respects: 8.00–10.45 A.M., 12.00–4.45 P.M., 5.45–6.30 P.M., and 7.45–9.00 P.M.
Screening points are open daily from 7.30 A.M. to 8.30 P.M.
The public is advised to wear appropriate black or white attire. Jeans, sleeveless clothing, and short skirts are not permitted. Female visitors are requested to wear skirts or traditional garments that cover the knees to ensure smooth passage through screening points. (NNT)
