Nine-year-old Pavin Pattanavekin celebrates after winning two Global Champion titles and becoming the world’s top-ranked young coder at the STEM Olympiad in Rome.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Nine-year-old Thai student Pavin Pattanavekin has won two Global Champion titles and earned the World No. 1 ranking in Coding at the International STEM Olympiad & Coding Olympiad – Grand Final 2026 in Rome, Italy. Pavin is a Grade 3 student at True Coding School Phuket. Competing in the Grades 3–11 division, Pavin outperformed students several years older from countries around the world. He captured first place in two separate coding competitions, claiming two Global Champion titles through his coding and problem-solving skills. The victories also earned Pavin the World No. 1 ranking in coding, adding another international achievement for Thailand and showcasing the talent of young Thai students on the global stage. (NNT)
