Nualphan Lamsam won the Football Association of Thailand (FAT) presidency with 68 of 73 votes, succeeding Pol Gen Somyot Poompunmuang. Known as ‘Madame Pang,’ Nualphan became the first woman to lead FAT, emphasizing her commitment to resolving Thai football’s issues.

Madame Pang, previously the men’s national team manager, has a rich history in football, including guiding the women’s team to the World Cup finals twice. Her election marks a historic moment in Asian football governance, receiving the highest vote percentage in FAT’s 108-year history.
