Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul launches the 2026 National Mother’s Day jasmine campaign, with proceeds supporting families in need and scholarships for underprivileged children.

BANGKOK, Thailand – Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul joined a campaign at Government House July 21 to promote sales of the 2026 National Mother’s Day jasmine flower, with proceeds supporting people facing hardship and educational scholarships for underprivileged children and youth. The campaign was organized by the National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand under the Royal Patronage. Council representatives pinned a jasmine flower on Anutin, and Cabinet ministers also received jasmine flowers during the event.

Part of the proceeds will go to the Queen Sirikit Fund under the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Foundation and the Community Welfare Solidarity Fund of the National Council on Social Welfare of Thailand. The money will help individuals and families in need while providing scholarships for underprivileged children and young people nationwide. The council organizes the National Mother’s Day campaign each year and chose the jasmine flower as its symbol because it represents purity and a mother’s love. The flowers and related products are handmade by low-income homemakers, students, and people with disabilities in welfare institutions across Thailand, creating income opportunities for the participants.
