  • The Government Pharmaceutical Organization (GPO) said 2 million Favipiravir tablets procured from Japan had arrived in Thailand on Monday. The drug has been imported for treating COVID-19 patients



  • The government will adopt a single command system to improve the efficiency of the national COVID-19 vaccination drive, aiming to inoculate 30 million people over the next 3 months and 50 million by the end of the year

  • The Public Health Ministry has proposed that all international travelers obtained the Certificate of Entry after May 1st, 2021 would have to undergo 14 day quarantine period. The proposal will be tabled in the CCSA’s general meeting on this Thursday



  • 5 provinces that are asking cooperation from residents to stay home during nighttime includes Nonthaburi, Pathum Thani, Surat Thani, Samut Prakarn and Samut Sakhon
  • 54 provinces nationwide including Bangkok, Chiang Mai and Phuket, have imposed compulsory face mask wearing rule in all public places. Violator may be subject to a fine of up to 20,000 baht under the Communicable Disease Act

 

  • People in Bangkok are required to wear face masks at all times when out in public – even if they are in their own car
  • Prime Minister Prayuth Chan-o-cha was fined 6,000 baht on Monday for not wearing a face mask during a meeting at his office
