BANGKOK, Thailand – The Cartier Women’s Initiative marked its 20th anniversary in Bangkok with the 2026 Awards Ceremony, celebrating 30 women entrepreneurs from 19 countries whose businesses are tackling social and environmental challenges while creating opportunities in their communities. Held at Chulalongkorn University under the theme “Women Lighting the Path,” the event highlighted the growing role of women entrepreneurs as drivers of innovation, sustainable development, and social change.

Founded in 2006, the Cartier Women’s Initiative was created to support women business leaders by providing funding, mentorship, and access to a global network. Over the past two decades, the program has supported 330 entrepreneurs from 67 countries and awarded more than 14 million US dollars in funding, helping women-led ventures expand their impact and inspire future generations. Among the speakers were Nualphan Lamsam, Chairperson of FIFA’s Development Committee and President of the Football Association of Thailand, and Amal Clooney, an international human rights lawyer and co-founder of the Clooney Foundation for Justice. They emphasized the importance of breaking barriers, expanding opportunities, and ensuring that women have the support needed to lead and succeed.
