Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden greets King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida at Stockholm Arlanda Airport as they arrive on Thai Airways flight TG 8886 for a four-day royal visit marking King Carl XVI Gustaf’s 80th birthday.

STOCKHOLM, Sweden – Their Majesties King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida have arrived in the Kingdom of Sweden for an official royal visit from April 29 to May 2, following an invitation from King Carl XVI Gustaf of Sweden.

The royal couple departed Thailand aboard a special flight operated by Thai Airways, flight TG 8886, and arrived at Stockholm Arlanda Airport on April 29.

The visit is to attend royal ceremonies marking the 80th birthday of King Carl XVI Gustaf, a major milestone for the Swedish monarchy.

Upon arrival, Their Majesties were formally received by Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden, who welcomed them at the foot of the aircraft stairs in an official reception ceremony.

This visit highlights the continued close relations between Thailand and Sweden at the royal and diplomatic levels, with both nations maintaining long-standing ties.
