Pattaya races to complete installation of underground power cables

Significant progress has already been made with moving electric and communication cables underground and resurfacing the roads.

As of the latest update on July 11, the installation of underground power cables in the Pattaya City area, specifically along Pattaya Second Road and Pattaya Third Road, is still underway as part of the Phase 1 electricity system development project. This initiative is a collaborative endeavor involving the Pattaya City Municipality, the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) Northern Branch Pattaya, government communication agencies, private cable TV providers, the regional waterworks authority, and the Pattaya Police Station.



The current focus of the project is on Pattaya Second Road, with construction currently in progress starting from the Wat Chaimongkol Temple. Additionally, a contractor has been assigned to complete the section from Pattaya South Road at the communication junction on Third Road to the entrance of Walking Street within the scheduled 360-day timeframe.



The modernization project ensures safe and reliable electricity supply and improves the visual aesthetics of Pattaya City. Significant progress has already been made, with underground cabling installed in various areas, including Pattaya North Road, Pattaya Central Road, Pattaya Walking Street, Sukhumvit Road, Pattaya Beach Road, Third Road, and Pattaya South Road.
