Buriram-native Nipon Sangam, 40, went into the July 16 drawing hoping, maybe, to match the last two numbers for a 10,000-baht prize. He never imagined he’d hit all six.

He chose his numbers based on his license plate, but didn’t think much about it afterward, tossing the tickets in his dresser. His giddy wife called to say he’d won.

Nipon said he’ll use the money to pay off debts and fund his children’s’ education. But he plans to continue working with his elephant. (MCOT)
