PATTAYA, Thailand – Pattaya municipal officers and provincial social welfare officials are continuing outreach operations to help homeless people, offering a listening ear, practical assistance and a chance to access proper care. Their approach reflects the importance of treating vulnerable people with the same dignity, compassion and concern shown to members of one’s own family.
Pattaya municipal enforcement officers and the Special Affairs team joined the Chonburi Provincial Social Development and Human Security Office and related agencies to visit public areas across the city, reaching out to people who may have nowhere else to turn.
The teams checked personal information, carried out initial assessments and spoke directly with individuals to understand their circumstances. They offered advice and assistance suited to each person’s needs, helping those who may be struggling find a route to appropriate care rather than facing their difficulties alone.
Where further support was needed, officials coordinated referrals to the Chonburi Protection Centre for the Destitute, helping individuals access the relevant care and support services. The ongoing operations combine compassion for vulnerable people with efforts to keep public spaces orderly and safe. By working together, municipal officers and social welfare agencies aim to make Pattaya and Jomtien more welcoming places for residents and visitors alike. Residents who know someone in need of assistance or wish to report a concern can contact the Pattaya Contact Center at 1337.
