East Pattaya has a new medical clinic with the opening of the Nong Yai Primary Healthcare Center.
Located inside Nong Yai Temple, the clinic, built by Pattaya City Hall, replaces an old clinic that closed months ago.
To celebrate the Sept. 11 opening, the clinic offered free health screenings, medicine for diabetes and high blood pressure.
Center Chairwoman Malee Ruksarach said the clinic is there to serve the local community and act as a base for village health volunteers. In addition to conventional medical services, the center educates nearby residents about maintaining good health and diets.
The clinic will offer free checkups and medication every Tuesday from 9 a.m. to noon.
