BANGKOK, Thailand – The government has begun accepting applications for overseas employment in Malaysia, offering Thai workers an opportunity to earn income and gain work experience abroad. Recruitment is handled by the Department of Employment under the Ministry of Labor.
Deputy Government Spokesperson Airin Phanrit said the openings are with VYV Wellness Retreat Sdn. Bhd., a company providing massage and wellness services in Malaysia. The employer is recruiting 18 Thai traditional massage therapists for two-year contracts.
Applications can be submitted online at toea.doe.go.th from now until February 19, with the system open 24 hours a day, including public holidays. The employer offers two pay options: a fixed monthly salary of 3,300 Malaysian ringgit, or commission-based pay calculated by hours worked, with higher rates applied after 160 hours per month. The standard schedule is 7.5 hours per day, six days per week.
The company will provide free accommodation and round-trip airfare upon completion of the contract, along with medical expense reimbursement insurance and health insurance in line with Malaysian regulations. Applicants must be women aged 21 to 44, hold a certificate showing at least 150 hours of training in Thai traditional massage or foot massage, be in good health, and pass a medical examination. Good conduct and a positive attitude are also required.
Selected candidates will be responsible only for basic expenses, including photo fees, passport fees if applicable, medical examination costs, and membership in the Overseas Employment Assistance Fund, with total costs estimated at 6,500 baht. Additional details are available at www.doe.go.th/overseas, on the Facebook page Thai Workers Abroad—Government Placement, at provincial employment offices, at Bangkok Employment Offices Areas 1–10, at the Overseas Thai Workers Administration Division, and via the Ministry of Labor hotline.
