Golf from Siam Country Resort Pattaya
Tuesday, Nov. 29, Pattavia – Stableford
On Tuesday the group went to Pattavia on a beautiful day that was a little bit chilly in the early morning but later sunny with a nice breeze. The course was in very good shape and the greens were fine too, but as always difficult.
Sam Gettinby (H/cap 25) showed his good form once again as he won with 34 stableford points. In second came George Gamble (24) with 32 points and third was Jonathan Pratt (12) with 31.
The near pin prizes went to Daniel Oshiro, Paddy Devereux and Sam Gettinby.
Thursday, Dec. 1, Greenwood – Stableford
Greenwood was our venue for the first day of December and again it was a beautiful day with sun and a nice breeze. The course was in perfect condition and the greens were very good. A really enjoyable day to play golf!
There were no standout scores but the end was thrilling with 3 players battling for top spot. After playing a weak front-nine Willem Lasonder (21) rallied on the inward half to carry the day with 35 points. He was followed by Jonathan Pratt with 34 points and Paddy Devereux with 33.
The near pins went to Sam Gettinby and Neil Harvey.
