Teaching Photography to the blind

Canon joined hands with PICT 4 All to teach blind kids how to take photographs to spark a world of imagination and creativity through photography, this happened at the Redemptorist School for the Blind on August the 27th.

The organizers of the project selected 10 blind children, who are interested in photography, to be trained by professionals as well as volunteers who taught them how to hold cameras, change batteries and memory cards along with taking photos horizontally, vertically, portraits, macro by feeling the model for height, distance and monitoring temperatures for clearer picture.

In addition to teaching, the organizers have donated three cameras, a color-picture printing machine and equipment to the school for future training and practice by the students, this is the sixth year this worthy activity has taken place.

One blind young man is taught how to change the memory card in the camera.
