A Russian tourist died after speeding out of his Jomtien Beach hotel on a motorbike and crashing into a lamp post.

Andrey Bogdanob, about age 30, died of a broken neck and other injuries outside the Ambassador City Hotel May 6.

Security guard Nop Sricharoen said Bogdanob had just rented the Yamaha Nouvo from the hotel and raced out of the parking lot. As he did, the Russian lost control and slammed into the light pole, killing himself instantly.
