An elderly Italian tourist was drugged and robbed by a prostitute he brought back to his hotel at 2 a.m.
Police were called to a hotel on Soi 16 after a maid discovered 70-year-old Vito Giannuzzi naked and having a seizure inside the open door to his room Oct. 24. He was transported to Pattaya Memorial Hospital for treatment.
Police recovered a half-empty glass of water they believed was laced with a tranquilizer. All of the Italian’s belongings had been stolen.
Security camera footage showed Giannuzzi returning to the hotel around 2 a.m. the previous evening with an overweight prostitute about 165cm tall. She left at 4 a.m., allegedly with all the Italian’s belongings, but was not stopped by the hotel’s security guard.
