Father Ray Foundation acting President Rev. Pattarapong Srivorakul, Pattaya MP Poramet Ngampichet and Pattaya City Councilman Rattanachai Sutidechanai, said the vocational school’s handicapped shelter cannot accept many more flood victims and needs more supplies for the ones it has taken in.
People are donating rice to the shelter, but more is needed.
The Father Ray Foundation can take in only a maximum 400 additional flood victims. The handicap school alone is already housing 154 evacuees, 35 handicapped, 36 children, four senior citizens, 39 caretakers, network officials, and more than 30 families. More are contacting the center every day.
While some volunteers have donated rice, the school also needs canned food, more rice, canned milk for children and other goods. Those wanting to donate can contact 038-716-628.
Sawachna Binaasai, who fled her flooded home in Bangkok, took her three children to the vocational school on Oct. 25. She praised the shelter, saying personnel there have made her relocation as pleasant as possible by organizing exercise, games and activities for her and the kids.
