PATTAYA, Thailand – A 37-year-old motorcyclist suffered severe injuries after losing control of his motorcycle and crashing through the glass front of a convenience store in Pattaya on the morning of June 14. Rescue volunteers from the Sawang Boriboon and a medical team from Pattaya City Hospital responded to the accident at around 7:30 a.m. in Soi Pattaya 18, also known as Soi Yen Sabai. At the scene, rescuers found the injured rider lying in a pool of blood in the middle of the road. The man, identified as Napat Rattanayong, was reportedly shouting incoherently and appeared disoriented. He had sustained a severe laceration to his left ear, which was nearly severed by shattered glass.

Emergency responders provided first aid before rushing him to hospital for urgent treatment.

Investigators found a blue Honda Wave 125 motorcycle with significant front-end damage after it smashed into the glass frontage of a roadside convenience store. The impact shattered the storefront window and caused damage to property inside the shop. A witness, 43-year-old Likhit Phasuk, told authorities he was riding in the opposite direction when he saw the motorcyclist apparently accelerating before losing control. The motorcycle reportedly swerved and slammed into the shop with considerable force. Police are continuing their investigation into the cause of the crash.
