French Film Night at Mercure Hotel

The Mercure Hotel in Pattaya’s French classic film season continues on Wednesday, November 14 with a showing of the 1968 romantic comedy “Baisers volés” from director François Truffaut.

A brief synopsis of the movie can be found below.  Admission is free of charge, open to all, and all the movies shown carry English subtitles.  Subsequent screenings will be shown at 2 weekly intervals with details of each movie previewed here in the Pattaya Mail.

“Baisers voles” (Stolen Kisses) – Wednesday, Nov. 14 at 6.30 p.m.

Romantic comedy directed by François Truffaut (1968) - English Subtitles – 1hr 30mins.

Synopsis:  Antoine Doinel joined the army but has just been discharged.  The film tells his reunion with Christine Darbon, the girl he was in love with before the beginning of the film, and his adventures in his jobs: first as a night watchman, then as a private investigator, especially during one investigation within Mr Tabard’s shoes-shop where Antoine finds Mrs. Tabard to be just a little too fascinating.
