Acting Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome officially launched his re-election campaign, unveiling the full slate of candidates running for deputy mayor and Pattaya City Council under the “We Love Pattaya” party banner.

“Today, we officially introduce the ‘Rao Rak Pattaya’ party, whose purpose is to purely serve residents,” Itthiphol said May 11 at the SK Pattaya building. “We hope to continue the work we started and expand and develop other important systems such as water, electricity and public utilities so Pattaya can become a top international destination and tourism attraction.”

Broken down into slates representing the city’s new four electoral districts, Rao Rak Pattaya includes all but four of the 24 current city council members.

“The proposed changes in membership for a few seats on the Pattaya City Council will bring a better team to serve citizens, allowing the workings of our team to reach its fullest capability by pulling in brilliant, expert and talented individuals to help brainstorm developments to Pattaya’s growth and expansion,” the mayor said.

The District 1 slate is led by Acting Deputy Mayor Wattana Chantanawaranon and includes current acting city council members Banlue Kullavanijaya, Jidapa Suwattaporn, Thatchai Supspornpasuphat, Anupong Bhudanawarut, Urit Nantasurasak, and new candidate Vichet Nongyai.

The District 3 slate is led by Acting Deputy Mayor Ronakit Ekasingh and includes current acting city council members Vichai Rodpia, Visalya Phettrakul, Nakhon Phonlookin, Chanansa Sutthithamrongsawat, Sanit Boonmachai, and new candidate Banjong Banthoonprayuk.

The District 4 slate is led by Acting Deputy Mayor Verawat Khakhay and includes current acting city council members Tavich Chaiswangwong, Phansak Saengchan, Praiwan Arromchuen, Thongchai Ardzong, Amnuai Somphongtham and Choosak Sriwatjanapong.
