CBRE Thailand gains success at Asia Pacific Property Awards 2010

CB Richard Ellis (CBRE) Thailand marked their 2009 business year with some outstanding achievements at the Asia Pacific Property Awards in association with Bloomberg Television, held on April 16 at The Langham Hotel in Hong Kong.

The annual event is part of the International Property Awards, the world’s most prestigious competition dedicated to identifying the best real estate professionals across the globe. The awards ceremony was attended by CBRE Thailand’s Chairman, David Simister, Prakaipeth Meechoosarn, Director – Resort Sales, and Preeti Tanwani, Associate Director.

CBRE Thailand was named the winner for 3 categories at the country level including the five-star winner for “Best Residential Real Estate Agency Thailand”, “Best Residential Real Estate Agency Website Thailand” for www.cbre.co.th and a highly commended winner for “Best Property Consultancy Website Thailand”.

As a five-star award winner at country level, CBRE Thailand was nominated at the regional level and was subsequently named “Best Asia Pacific Residential Real Estate Agency Website” for www.cbre.co.th. As the top scoring Asia Pacific winner, CBRE Thailand will go on to compete against other winning companies globally for the World’s Best Residential Real Estate Agency Website.

In addition, on a global level, CBRE has also been ranked as a leading professional real estate services provider. For the seventh year in a row, National Real Estate Investor, the leading magazine for professional real estate investors, has ranked CBRE No. 1. The ranking is based on the aggregate value of sales and leasing transactions completed globally during 2009. CBRE was responsible for US$97.2 billion of global sales and leasing transactions in 2009. That total was nearly twice the transaction value of the nearest competitor.

According to a survey of worldwide real estate professionals by The Lipsey Company, CBRE has topped Lipsey’s annual ranking of commercial real estate brands for nine consecutive years. The Lipsey survey measures commercial real estate professionals’ perceptions of the industry’s leading brands. More than 50,000 U.S. and international professionals participated in the survey, including property owners, investors, lenders, brokers and property managers.

The International Association of Outsourcing Professionals (IAOP) has also named CBRE to the 2010 Global Outsourcing 100 for the fourth straight year. The list recognizes the world’s best outsourcing service providers across all industries, and is based on applications received and evaluated by an independent panel of judges organized by IAOP.

APUS Condominium are well known in local circles for doing things slightly different in the marketing of their project. Firstly they have their own full time marketing department that can produce everything they need from websites, magazine and newspaper adverts, billboards, online marketing and press releases. So much so that they are now in the process of finalizing their very own full colour, high quality, magazine, titled “The APUS Condominium Lifestyle Magazine” which will be released in high volume on a monthly basis throughout Pattaya and Bangkok from July.

However, in addition to all of the aforementioned they are also joining forces with one of Pattaya’s most respected and largest Real Estate Agents “Alan Bolton Property Consultants” in a joint marketing and promotion campaign.

Marketing Director Jason Payne explained: “Alan Bolton Property Consultants have been a big supporter of our project from the very beginning and they have enjoyed great success in selling our units, so we have decided to take the relationship a step further by working together on a joint marketing and promotion campaign but in a slightly different way to how most developers and agents normally work together.

“The idea and goals are simple in that both companies see an increase in business as well as name branding and awareness. Our print media advertising, which we will design in house (but both companies will have joint input to ensure that the advertising meets their requirements), will be promoting both companies, rather than it being just advertising the fact that Alan Bolton Property Consultants are selling units in APUS Condominium.

“Working in this manner costs and overheads for advertising are reduced but maximum exposure for both our companies can be still be achieved.

“Initially our campaign together will be in print media however we also plan on advertising Alan Bolton Property Consultants on our website, as well as our Facebook and Twitter pages, which will hopefully bring them additional business from potential clients who feel that APUS is not for them but they are still driven and motivated to buy property. This potentially could be expanded to lead sharing, lead generation, the sharing of property portal inclusion costs, this list is endless, however the most important issue is that we both see an increase in business and trust between both parties, and I personally feel very comfortable working with such a well known and respected agent in ABPC.”

In addition to the joint marketing campaign, APUS Condominium will also be giving ABPC exclusive room promotions that will not be available anywhere else, ranging from extended 0% financing, free furniture packages, to golf memberships as an additional incentive for ABPC to sell the remaining units in the project.

APUS Condominium is centrally located in the heart of Pattaya City just a short walk to all major, supermarkets, shopping centres and the beach, and just a 15 minute drive to world class golf courses, International schools and Hospitals. The project is due for completion in August 2010 and is currently 65% sold.
