is holding an Eastern Seaboard Sundowners and Networking event at the
Pullman Pattaya Aisawan Resort & Spa located on Wongamat Beach, Naklua on

An exciting new
international cricket tournament, the Pattaya International Cricket Sixes
2010, will be staged at Horseshoe Point Resort, Pattaya, from 7 -
10th April 2010. The tournament is part of the international award winning
Asian Cricket Sixes Tour (ACST), the leading organizer of superb cricket
tournaments across Asia Pacific region which also includes events in Chiang
Mai, Phuket, Hong Kong, Shanghai, the Philippines, Singapore and New South
Wales, Australia. The Pattaya event is being staged at the newest cricket
ground in Thailand, the prestigious and picturesque Horseshoe Point Resort,
and is fully supported by the recently formed Pattaya Cricket Club. Sixteen
teams, plus supporters, families and officials from Australia, UK, India,
Pakistan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, and New Zealand will fly in to
compete in this brand new tournament plus teams from Thailand and Pattaya.

Clubs and Associations
The next Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) meeting will be on Sunday,
March 28 and everyone is warmly welcome to attend. The club meets every
Sunday morning at The Tavern (formerly Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant) on the
north end of Beach Road in the grounds of the Amari Orchid Resort. The
program starts as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from
9:30 to 11 a.m. Each week the PCEC has an interesting speaker to talk on
various subjects of interest in an informal setting. This week the Club will
welcome back author Christopher G. Moore; the writer of the popular Thailand
based Vincent Calvino stories. He will be discussing his latest book, The
Corruptionist. This talk will be followed by the ever lively and often
humorous Open Forum where questions are asked and answers given about living
in Pattaya as well as an update on events in and around Pattaya. A full

For the past 28 years
the Samaritans of Thailand have been providing confidential crisis
intervention services over the telephone. The English-speaking unit,
Samaritans English Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to
provide support to the expatriate community. English-speaking staff, trained
in crisis intervention will provide active, non-judgmental and empathetic
listening services on the phone. All calls will be handled on an anonymous

Pattaya Players
have announced auditions for their upcoming blockbuster performance of
Loot! This ‘black comedy’ melodrama written by Joe Orton in 1967 is a cult
classic that pushed all the boundaries of its day. There are parts for both
male and female actors and auditions will take place at 6:00 p.m. on
Thursday, April 1. The performances will take place on June 12-13, and the
venue will be announced soon. All interested parties both talent-wise and

The Punchline
Comedy Club is heading back to Pattaya in April with the hottest standup
comics including Chortle Awards Best Newcomer 2007, Carl Donnelly; talented
stand-up comic and famous novelist Mark Billingham; and one of the UK’s top
comedians, Mike Gunn. The trio will be on stage at The Tavern (formally
Henry J Beans) at the Amari Orchid Hotel, Beach Road, Pattaya on
Thursday April 22 from 9 p.m. onwards. The Punchline comedy show is a two
hour extravaganza featuring the three different comedians and hosted by John
Moorehead, with an interval half way through for people to fill up on the
