Christina presents Alan with his well-earned certificate of appreciation.

Christina Boden
Christina Boden of the busy Charity Club of Pattaya recently caught up with two more Platinum Sponsors from the Charity Gala Dinner: Alan Bolton, M.D. of Alan Bolton Property Consultants and David Isitt.
Alan Bolton has long been a great supporter of the club and we very much appreciate his generosity.
This is the first time that David Isitt has been a Platinum Sponsor for the Charity Club’s Charity Gala Dinner. Christina presented David with his first and hopefully not the last certificate of appreciation! See you at the next event David!

David Isitt receives his first, but hopefully not last,
certificate of appreciation from Christina.

On April 16 at Diana Inn on Pattaya 2nd Road, the traditional water blessing ceremony was held in a warm and friendly atmosphere with staff wearing colorful flower-design shirts to brightly welcome the Songkran Festival.
Deputy Mayor Ronakit Ekasingh and Sopin Thappajug, managing director of Diana Group arrived with Jintana Wetchote, education chief of Pattaya City and many foreign guests including Kjell Nygren, Anthony Kemble Gilbext, Mats Sunden, and Bernie Tuppin, charity chairman of Pattaya Sports Club, who came to give blessing to the staff.

Komsan Seesam, general manager of Diana Group, led the staff to pour water on the image of Buddha then on the hands of elders to give thanks and respect.
Sopin said that the event has been organized every year for the staff of Diana Group to continue these traditional ways of celebrating, as well as to promote unity, especially in these economic hard times.
Most importantly it is for giving luck and encouragement to staff working for Diana Group which consists of Diana Garden Resort, Diana Inn, Diana Dragon Apartment, Diana Millennium House, Diana Garden Lodge and Driving Range.
Ronakit also gave his good wishes to staff as well as the press that joined the ceremony.
He said that the ceremony was held for the happiness of all employees as well as to reduce the gap between staff and management for a better service to customers.

Operations Manager, Thai Garden Resort

28 students from the Dutch University of Tourism (NHTV) recently visited Thailand for 2 weeks. The trip was organized by Diethelm Travel Thailand. Their last stop was at the Thai Garden Resort in Pattaya.
The students had several assignments related towards the tourism in Thailand.
The most challenging assignment was to develop a new round trip tour, suitable for tourists from Europe throughout Thailand which does not exist in any travel itinerary yet.
Their trip through Thailand showed them Bangkok, Lampang and Chiang Mai. For their last stay they came to Pattaya where they enjoyed a pleasant stay at the Thai Garden Resort.
On April 22, Maarten Groeneveld, managing director of Diethelm Travel Thailand, held a presentation for the students at the Moon River Pub about the current situation in the Travel industry and answered questions from the students. Afterwards everyone enjoyed a fun night with an international buffet and live music by the well known “Power Jam Band” at the Moon River Pub.
