The next Pattaya City Expats
Club (PCEC) meeting will be on Sunday, March 22. The club meets every Sunday
morning at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant on the north end of Beach Road in the
grounds of the Amari Orchid Resort. The program starts as usual at 10:30
a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:30 to 11 a.m., everyone
welcome. Each week the PCEC has an interesting speaker to talk on various
subjects of interest in an informal setting. This week, the speaker will be
Santa Methasiri, M.D. from Bangkok Hospital Pattaya (BHP) whose topic will
be “Glaucoma … A Leading Irreversible Blindness.” BHP nurses will also be
available to give free blood pressure checks. This talk will be followed by
the ever-lively and often humorous Open Forum and an update on the

In March, The Bay Italian
Restaurant features enchanting dishes from Sicily delicately prepared by
Chef Claudio Mendini. Sample Insallata di lattuga con Gamberetti in salsa di
rucola (lettuce salad with steamed shrimps in rocket sauce), Cotoletta di
vitello al pistachio servito con patate al forno e cipolle al Marsala (veal
cutlet with pistachio crust served with backed potatoes with cheese, onion

Authentically Cantonese at
The Peak Chinese Restaurant: Cantonese cuisine will take center stage
throughout March with dishes like beef steak tenderloin with black bean

Shenanigans: two great Irish Pubs - two great locations in Pattaya &
Jomtien. You can enjoy the same weekly specials but on different days.
Pattaya weekly menu has Monday: schnitzel night, 225 baht; Tuesday: fajitas
(chicken or beef), 295 baht; Wednesday: T-bone steak night, 260 baht;
Thursday: seafood basket, 240 baht; Friday: all you can eat BBQ ribs, 325
baht. The Jomtien Pub has the same menu and prices but on the following

Can you sing? A new
chorus group forming in the Pattaya is looking for men and women who love to
sing. If you can carry a tune and can read music, it’s a plus, but not a
necessity. The group itself will determine the kinds of music we sing, where
and when we rehearse and where we’ll perform. We especially need women

Events
The Pattaya Players
are proud to announce their Spring production entitled, “The Odd Couple”
(female version) on April 3-5, 2009. This full-length play written by Neil
Simon and directed by Adam Kuhl features a cast of eight talented thespians.
The two evening performances on Friday April 3, and Saturday April 4, will
feature an optional buffet dinner component catered by the world-renowned
chefs at the Amari Hotel. Tickets for adults will be 300 baht
(without dinner) and 1,000 baht (inclusive of buffet). Children under 12 may
attend the show for 200 baht (without dinner) and 900 baht (inclusive of
buffet). Sunday, April 5 will be a matinee performance with no buffet

Dr Giuseppe Mario Saccone,
a lecturer at Asian University will hold a talk titled “Ethics and Ethical
Theories” at the North Star Library in Pattaya on Thursday, March 26

A Latino dance show and
workshop will be held on Saturday, March 21 from 7 p.m. at La Dolce Vita

the evening anybody can join in a frenetic workshop under the expert

The annual Pattaya
International Ladies Club (PILC) Family Fun Day will be held on Sunday
