The next
Pattaya City Expats Club (PCEC) meeting will be on Sunday, March 15. The
club meets every Sunday morning at Henry J. Bean’s Restaurant on the north
end of Beach Road in the grounds of the Amari Orchid Resort. The program
starts as usual at 10:30 a.m. with a buffet breakfast available from 9:30 to
11 a.m., everyone welcome. Each week the PCEC has an interesting speaker to
talk on various subjects of interest in an informal setting. This week, the
speaker will be from Bangkok Hospital Pattaya. This talk will be followed by
the ever-lively and often humorous Open Forum and an update on the

28 years the Samaritans of Thailand have been providing confidential
crisis intervention services over the telephone. The English-speaking unit,
Samaritans English Help Line operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to
provide support to the expatriate community. English-speaking staff, trained
in crisis intervention will provide active, non-judgmental and empathetic
listening services on the phone. All calls will be handled on an anonymous

Character Portraits at the new Gmbái Art Gallery. Gallery owner and
fine artist Jieng Sae Jern is offering a special invitation to visit the
Gmbái Art Gallery on Thursdays from noon to 6 p.m. for tea, conversation and
your own free character portrait. Jieng Sae Jern was born in China and, with
his family, fled to freedom in Thailand during the Cultural Revolution. He
returned to China for extensive study in classical arts which is reflected
in his eclectic and contemporary applications. He has a deep interest in
creating works which allow a western perspective to touch the spirit of

The annual
Pattaya International Ladies Club (PILC) Family Fun Day will be held on
Sunday March 29 from 12 noon at the Asia Pattaya Hotel on Soi 4 Pratamnak

critic Brian Curtin, presents an exhibition titled New Ecologies.
