Building work on the luxury 158-unit Poompatta condominium project will begin this coming March it was announced at a gala dinner party held on Tuesday, January 20 at the construction site on Pattaya Third Road, opposite the Mom Aroi Restaurant

Police Major General Kosol Puawet, deputy commander of police division 2, hosts a welcome speech at the Poompatta condo opening party.
Police Major General Kosol Puawet, deputy commander of police division 2, hosted a welcome speech at the opening ceremony that was attended by many guests and dignitaries, including Verawat Khakhay and Wattana Chantanawaranon, both Deputy Mayors of Pattaya City.
All the guests were warmly welcomed by Suthep Srisomboon, Managing Director of the Watcharin Group, the project developers, who said that the Poompatta condominium will be a standout city development and would attempt to “blend modern taste with the nature.”
Lead agent for the development, Stuart Daly from Pattaya Realty, explained that the Poompatta project is from the same owners as Ban Nat Cha, which was the first project of the Watcharin Group and which has already sold 50 of its units with just 4 remaining. He also claims that due to the current economic situation, the Watcharin Group has decided that instead of following the usual off-plan formula, they will allow buyers to spread the 40% down payment over a period of 20 months to make it a lot more affordable to more people and also offset the current strength of the Thai baht. With payments over 20 months buyers should see a weakening of the baht during this period.
Added to that is a special New Year promotion that includes a 15% discount and free air-conditioners in all the rooms.
The construction of Phase A will begin in March and will consist of 79 units of 54sq.meters and 100sq. meters. In Building B there will also be 79 units of 49sq. meters and 120sq. meters. The project is expected to be completed by 2010.
Being in the center of Pattaya, the Poompatta development is ideally located for those wishing to get around town and is also very close to popular shopping malls, as well as famous night time entertainment venues. Moreover, the starting price of 2.5 million baht is very attractive and reasonable for a condominium of this sophistication.
The showrooms are ready to be viewed so interested parties should get along to the location on Pattaya Third Road, Soi 6 and see what all the fuss is about.
Poompatta looks well set to emulate the success of Ban Nat Cha and Stuart Daly agrees that Poom Patta has the confidence because of its pedigree.
