Corporate responsibility and giving back to the community is what many companies in Thailand strive to achieve. The Laem Chabang Terminal Company Ltd., part of the Hutchinson Port Holding (HPH) groups of companies is highlighting what this means.

Rasadajaroen School students received some nice book bags from the friendly folks at Laem Chabang Terminal Company Ltd.

Led by Woraporn Ruangpeerakul, human resource manager, company representatives went on a trip to Prachinburi where they handed out scholarship funding for the children at the Rasadajaroen School.

“Our company is focused on helping children and giving back to the community, especially the underprivileged who are unable to afford the basic education necessities,” said Woraporn.

They also handed out dried food goods, basic medicines, school bags and toys for the smaller children. The school is in a poor district of the province and students often go without the simplest of items, let alone educational funds.

A further 12 scholarships were given by the Laem Chabang Terminal Company Ltd, much to the delight and deep appreciation of recipients and school administrators.

Future football stars receive football coaching certificates at St. Andrews International School

St. Andrews International School has been hosting a series of football training workshops organized by the Jason Withe Football Development Group, based in Bangkok.

The boys pictured here all successfully completed an eight week course run by a qualified professional football coach during which they practiced shooting, passing, ball control, heading, dribbling, turns, defending, attacking and speed work.

The group of children who took part in the course enjoyed learning how to improve their football skills and as a result they all received a special certificate and a poster for their reward.

St. Andrews hopes that these pupils will now use these newly learned skills to use in future football matches against other schools.
