celebration.

If you were hoping Pattaya would run out of water before Songkran’s soggy finale
this weekend, think again. City hall says there is plenty of the wet stuff to go
around.
Pattaya Water Department Manager Suthat Nutpan said the city has made 250,000
cu. meters of water available daily, up 25 percent from normal.
Five reservoirs supply Pattaya: Lake Mabprachan, Nong Klang Dong, Huay Sapan,
Huay Khun Jit and Chark Nok. Statistics show that 60 percent of water is left at
the five reservoirs, up from just 40 percent during Songkran 2013.
This year, however, the city also planned to take water from other resources,
such as from Huay Pansaded Reservoir in Rayong and rain water from canals around
Pattaya. That water will be stored for emergency use.
