
Awards for outstanding sports achievements were
presented at the Chonburi Institute of Physical Education ninth anniversary
celebration.
Chonburi’s Institute of Physical Education celebrated its
ninth anniversary with religious rites and award presentations.
Seksan Nakwong, deputy permanent secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and
Sports, presided over the Feb. 5 event.
The institute is a specialized sports and recreation higher-education facility
founded in 2005 to manage education in basic and higher levels consisting of 11
schools in 17 educational regions.
The celebration consisted of a religious worshipping ceremony, monk ceremony and
award presentations for staffers, students and athletes, who had made a name for
the institute and nation.
Awards presented included three for Outstanding Honorable Sportsperson, 10
Outstanding Sportsperson, two Outstanding Coaches, two Outstanding Team
Managers, 32 Outstanding Personnel and 100 awards for Outstanding 100,000 Good
Teachers.
The winners were selected from teachers, employees, coaches, and students
nationwide who had made a name for the sports industry and others. This is a
part of promoting and a push for coaches, personnel, and students to help
develop sports institutions and the nation for the sports industry to progress
to international levels and excellence. (CPRD)
