executive assistant manager - Food and Beverage from January 13, 2014.
A British national with over 25 years of experience in the hospitality
industry, he has been working in Asia for the past 22 years and most
recently was living and working in Singapore.
Carl has extensive expertise in food and beverage; he obtained a bachelor’s
degree in the culinary arts along with food and beverage service from
Harrogate College of Arts and Technology in the United Kingdom.
Carl has worked with numerous international hotels as executive chef and
director of food and beverage including Hyatt Hotels in Hong Kong and China,
Sheraton and Conrad in Hong Kong.

Etihad Airways announces golf star Martin Kaymer as latest brand ambassador
PGA golfer Martin Kaymer has become Etihad
Airways’ newest Guest Ambassador.
Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has
expanded its Guest Ambassador program with the addition of international
PGA golfer Martin Kaymer.
Having won the US PGA Championship in 2010, the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf
Championship for a record three times in 2008, 2010 and 2011, and holing
the winning putt for the European Ryder Cup Team in 2012, Kaymer is
considered one of the golfing world’s brightest stars.
As the latest Etihad Guest Ambassador, he will work on a series of
initiatives to raise Etihad Airways’ brand awareness in Germany and
other key markets around the world. This includes a promotional video
filmed in Abu Dhabi to showcase Etihad Airways’ award-winning service
and position the UAE capital as a leading golf and travel destination.
The shooting schedule coincided with the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf
Championship 2014, with Kaymer competing for his fourth title at Abu
Dhabi Golf Club between 16 and 19 January.

The Etihad Guest Ambassador program was launched in October 2013 and
features some of the biggest names from the global entertainment, art
and sporting industries. Current ambassadors include Australian
celebrity Dannii Minogue, Indian actress Katrina Kaif, Vietnamese
Australian chef Luke Nguyen, French footballer Patrick Vieira, and
Australian cricketer Shane Warne.
Commenting on his appointment as Etihad Guest Ambassador, Martin Kaymer

conferred annually to individual(s) or institution(s), firstly, “in the

Bangkok Airways to offer twice daily non-stop service between Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) and Chiang Rai
Bangkok Airways recently announced its latest
expansion to the northern part of Thailand - Chiang Rai, offering
non-stop flights from Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) to Chiang Rai, the
northernmost large city in Thailand. Commencing on 28 March 2014, the
airline will be using a 162-seat Airbus A320 aircraft to service this
route.
Puttipong Prasarttong-Osoth, Bangkok Airways’ president said, “We see
Chiang Rai as another potential, yet competitive market in Thailand. The
city has emerged as a popular northern Thailand alternative tourist base
to larger Chiang Mai. Chiang Rai is a strategic gateway to neighboring
countries such as the Republic of the Union of Myanmar, the Lao People’s
Democratic Republic and the southernmost part of China.
“As Bangkok Airways is focusing on leisure destinations, we therefore
see high demand from international connecting passengers to this part of
South East Asia. We look to cement our position in the increasingly
competitive Thai market. We are confident that with our strong
reputation of offering a boutique flying experience for our passengers,
Bangkok Airways will become a leading player in this market,” Puttipong
concluded.
The first outbound flight PG231 will depart Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) at
07.35hrs and arrive Chiang Rai Airport at 08.55hrs. while the second
outbound flight will depart Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) at 18.05hrs and
arrive Chiang Rai Airport at 19.25hrs. The first inbound flight PG232
will depart Chiang Rai Airport at 09.45hrs and arrive Bangkok
(Suvarnabhumi) at 11.05hrs. while the second inbound flight will depart
Chiang Rai airport at 20.10hrs and arrive Bangkok (Suvarnabhumi) at
21.30hrs.
