Teens given coping
lessons in Chonburi

Over 700 Chonburi high school students are given
tips on how to cope with problems and avoid drugs at a Chonburi-sponsored
seminar.
More than 700 Chonburi high school students got tips on how
to cope with problems and avoid drugs at a city-sponsored seminar.
Permanent Secretary Jutharat Prinwachirapjay opened the Feb. 4 “Immunity to
Develop Youths Mind Health” at Chalerm Prakiat Pavilion, which was aimed at
stimulating youths to take responsibility for themselves and society.
Attending were 755 Mattayom 1 and 3 students from Chonburi schools. They
listened to a lecture from award winning public speaker Ornpim Raksapon, who
mainly touches on subjects of inner strength, smartness, good deeds, love,
loyalty, trust, and faith within family that inspire youth and bring them back
to the brighter side of society. She usually speaks at schools and teenage
children love her.
Students also participated in activities organized by teachers, Chonburi Health
Insurance and volunteers from the Chonburi Public Health Department.
Mayor Decho Khongchayasukhwat said the seminar advised Chonburi youths on how to
solve problems. He said teens naturally are curious and want to try new things.
So the workshop hoped to advise them on how to avoid alcohol, smoking, drugs and
unsafe sex. (CPRD)
