Fifty-nine Pattaya hotels have been certified as offering safe
and clean food in the city’s new “Clean Food, Great Taste” campaign.
The Amari Orchid Resort & Tower, Cape Dara Resort, Diana Inn, Hard Rock
Hotel, Hilton Pattaya, Holiday Inn Pattaya and Montien Hotel were among
the many popular resorts to win accolades for sanitary food preparation
from Deputy Mayor Wutisak Rermkitkarn and Consumer Protection Department
official Buppha Songsakulchai Nov. 20.
All the approved hotels passed inspections carried out by the city
Public Health Department during November.
“The participation by hotels in the project is considered as a good
start in cleanliness maintenance and food taste since in the past, there
has been complaints that tourists in Pattaya, once having consumed food,
would suffer digestive issues affecting the reputation and confidence of
tourists,” Wutisak said. “I applaud all hotels for giving importance to
correct distribution of food, which is another way for Pattaya to have a
good image in regards to food services.”
