Pregnant motorcyclist
dies in Sukhumvit collision

A pregnant motorcyclist died after being hit by a pickup truck
that ran a red light on Sukhumvit Road.
The unidentified woman, presumed to be about five months pregnant and in
her mid-20s, died instantly in the Sept. 3 crash at the intersection of
Soi Chaiyapruek. Her mangled Srakaew-registered motorbike was found
nearby.
Nattapol La-ota, 22, of Prathum Thani was arrested for reckless driving
resulting in death.
Police said Nattapol confessed he’d run a red light and hit the victim,
who had made a right turn in front of him. He said he unable to stop in
time.
