266 disabled, elderly
receive mobility, vision aids

Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome leads
the way, handing out canes to blind people, as part of the city’s drive to help
the elderly and disabled.

About 260 Pattaya residents received wheelchairs, canes and vision aids as part
of the city’s drive to help the elderly and disabled.
Mayor Itthiphol Kunplome handed out the equipment Aug. 6 during the latest in a
series of distributions made possible through a 200,000 baht city program.
Eyeglasses were given out to 202 people, while 17 were given wheelchairs,
fourteen received walkers and 24 blind people received canes.
“Pattaya created this budget to help people every year gain access to public
welfare since they are in difficult situations,” Itthiphol said.
In addition, city hall and the Academic Support and Sponsorship Office Region 3
presented 200 Naklua and Nong Plalai residents 1,000 baht in housing assistance.
