An American boxing instructor waiting for a haircut died after falling
asleep while waiting to be served.
Robert Carswell Lowther Jr., 65, passed away quietly at the Ton Barber on
Soi Old Hollywood, off South Road, July 30. Police could not immediately
determine the cause of death.
Lowther worked as a Muay Thai boxing teacher at a camp in North Pattaya.
Witnesses said the shop was busy and, while waiting for a barber chair to
open, Lowther fell asleep. When staff tried to rouse him for his haircut,
they discovered he was dead.
