Central Festival Pattaya Beach showcased a new collection of
photographs shot by HRH Princess Sirindhorn to reflect her travels in
Thailand and abroad.
Culture Minister Sonthaya Kunplome opened the June 24-30 exhibit at the
beachfront mall. The third exhibition of the princess’ photos since 2011
was again sponsored by owner Central Pattana Public Co., the ministry’s
Contemporary Art and Culture Office, and the Royal Photographic Society
of Thailand.
Titled “Camera in Motion: a Global Perspective,” the exhibit showcased
119 photographs taken by Her Royal Highness during trips around Thailand
and overseas from 2011-12. Photos cover all four geographic regions of
Thailand, with both serious and comedic themes.

Photographic society Vice President Nittikorn
Krawichien said her love of photography stemmed from her drawings. As a
child, she’d search books for photos to use as models to draw, then
later photograph.
“We are touched with HRH’s kindness in allowing us to hold this
exhibition in the eastern region so tourists have an opportunity to
enjoy her Royal Highness’ talents and humor,” Sonthaya said.
