A Remembrance Day Service - 70th Anniversary of Thai-Burma Railway - will be held at 9 a.m. on Sunday, November 11 at the War Cemetery in Kanchanaburi. Buses to the service will depart from the British Chamber of Commerce office in Bangkok at 6 a.m. Cost is 600 baht per person and includes transport plus snacks and beverages on the bus. Thailand’s motorbike clubs and riders are invited to take part in the Kwai Challenge 2012 on Sunday, November 11 in aid of the 2012 Poppy Appeal, the Thai Burma Railway Centre, and the Thai Veterans Hospital in Bangkok. An organised motorcycle ride will start from Three Pagodas Pass and end at the bridge over the River Kwai in Kanchanaburi town (a shorter option will also be available). The 2012 Ploenchit Fair will be held at Bangkok International School on Saturday, November 24 from 10.00am - 9.00pm. This charity fundraising event is a family fun day, based on an English fairground, as well as offering all day international food and beverage and stage entertainment. Donations are currently being sought for goods or promotional materials to be used in the central pool for the over 150+ stalls.
