Pattaya put on its scariest face as tourists and residents alike haunted
hotels, restaurants and nightlife districts to celebrate Halloween.

On Walking Street, business owners decorated with ghost figures, dark
curtains, haunted posters and employees in full makeup. The more elaborate
shops created that spooky feeling with music and lights, plus the occasional
ghoul popping out of a dark corner.

Revelers filled the street in costumes of their own,
giving the city a festive feeling that permeated the walls of luxury resorts
and shopping malls.
Ripley’s Believe It or Not! in the Royal Garden Plaza threw a unique
Halloween party filled with monsters from its Haunted Adventure attraction.
The amusement center ran a costume contest for guests with the prize-winning
ghouls receiving 50,000 baht in Royal Garden gift certificates.
Khomsanthepithak Chumnannak took the grand prize for his getup as a dead man
killed by shards of mirrors. Wattana Kanchanodilok took second prize as a
beauty contestant covered in bruises and injuries while Dangwang Srisa-ad
took third place and Belgian Fabian Calvetti getting the consolation prize.
Down the road, the Hard Rock Cafe threw its own Halloween bash with costume
contests and musical monsters.
The Beach Road pub was decorated as a haunted house with creatures young and
old shuffling through its halls. Atmospheric rock subbed for spooky tunes
and the evening reached its climax with a performance by the Hard Rock’s
employees dressed up in full makeup as rock band Kiss.

In Naklua, the Centara Grand Mirage Beach Resort offered
its own Halloween happening at its Zulu Bar.
The “Funky Halloween” party saw the upscale hotel decorated with skulls,
coffins and eyeballs with ghosts and goblins serving food and drinks.
The hotel put on a “funky, funny ghost” show, sexy dances by female monsters
and a bartender drink-mixing performance.
Ten guests capped the evening, participating in a costume show. The winning
costume was a bride who suffered a gory accident on the way down the aisle.
The bloodied bride won a two-day pass at Centara’s on-site spa.
