Hilton’s Raw Bar a hot deal

The Hilton Pattaya’s latest eatery may be popular, but it’s not hot.

The Raw Bar is just that. You can order salad, oysters, salmon or nuts, but none of it will be cooked. But accompanied by Domain Champagne Brut, it doesn’t seem to matter.

Prices at the beachfront hotel eatery, however, won’t leave guests feeling they got a raw deal. A “tower” of snacks and a glass of the bubbly stuff will set one person back 1,300 baht. A half-dozen oysters cost 750 baht and a dozen for 1,200 baht.

The Raw Bar is open only on Fridays from 5 – 11:30 p.m., when the charming barman Waii and the even more charming and pretty “cook” Pinky, closely watched by chef Shaun Venter, are waiting to serve you.
