BANGKOK, 22 September 2013 Maha Chulalongkorn Rajavidyalaya University and the Office of Basic Education Commission (OBEC) have together promoted Dharma to Thai youths, so that they can adapt the Buddhist’s way of life.

Somdej Phra Maha Ratchamankala, Acting Supreme Patriarch of Thailand and Abbot of Wat Paknam, has presented awards to outstanding teaching monks and winners from the moral promotion program, as part of the activities to celebrate His Holiness Supreme Patriarch Somdet Phra Nyansamvara’s 100th birthday anniversary.

Other activities included Dharma preaching, group chanting, praying, and other Buddhist activities. From the assessments made by monks who teach Dharma in schools across the country, Thai students have adopted the Buddhist teachings when they face difficulties and many have become more tractable and focused in class.
